Doctoral studies
A doctoral degree at the Department of Psychology combines independent, high-quality research with advanced academic training and structured supervision. Doctoral researchers are supported in carrying out their research projects while further developing their academic profiles. An integral part of the doctoral phase is participation in professional development opportunities, such as training in good scientific practice, research data management, and research ethics. Particular emphasis is placed on methodological rigor as well as the transparency and reproducibility of scientific findings. The planning of the doctoral project, the professional development activities, and the corresponding agreements are discussed jointly with the individually appointed Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC provides guidance and support to doctoral researchers throughout the entire doctoral phase. These agreements are documented and regularly updated in the Supervisory Agreement (PDF, 342 KB).
